The Power of You : A 12-Session Mindful Studies program for Teens

I offer the 12-session curriculum developed by Peace in Schools — a research-backed, trauma-informed, and equity-centered mindfulness program originally designed as a for-credit high school course in the United States. This program is designed for youth in Grades 10–12 as well as young adults.

This program can be delivered in a variety of formats to meet the needs of your school or organization. Sessions may be offered weekly, multiple times per week, or in a more intensive format over a shorter period of time.

Sessions are typically 60–75 minutes in length.

The curriculum is experiential and relational. Sessions include guided practices, partner exercises, group discussion, and structured reflection. Students are not asked to “perform” or share beyond their comfort level; instead, the environment emphasizes choice, safety, and respect.​

Program Formats

The 12-session Mindful Studies program can be offered in a variety of settings across North Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver area, including:

  • In partnership with secondary schools
  • Through community organizations and youth-
    serving nonprofits
  • As an after-school teen cohort
  • In group community-based settings
  • As a pilot collaboration within existing youth
    programs
